WE WILL HAVE A LIVE, INTERACTIVE SESSION THIS SATURDAY AT 10:30 AM (PST)!
Please click on the two links above: One to a YouTube Live channel where we will have a VERY INTERACTIVE experience with YOU at home! The second link above will allow you to interact in real-time with the questions, the "Yes/No/Maybe" statements, and many new innovative segments of our conversation. This second link will allow you to click on the screen of your smartphone, tablet or computer, and you will see how your responses stack up against everyone else tuning in at that moment. Plan on watching the YouTube Live on one device, and use another for the interactive parts of the experience. Everyone who is watching will want to have access to a smartphone, tablet or computer so that they can tap on their screens to interact. Also, click "Subscribe" on the YouTube video to make sure that you stay up to date with any last minute changes.
In preparation for our conversation, please READ the following passage and questions:
•PLEASE READ Genesis 3:1-9
•In One Word: What does the Tree of Knowledge represent?
•Did it really exist, or is it just a metaphor?
•What does it say about God’s character that he would place the Tree of Knowledge in “the middle” of the Garden, instead of placing it somewhere else?
•What does it say about God’s character that in creating this tree He made it "good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes” (Gen 3:6).
•Why would uprooting this tree from the Genesis story distort God’s true character?
•What did the serpent offer? How did this malign God’s character?
•God has typically been seen not only as a God who prohibits but also as a God who persuades by force and threats.
•Does the Tree of Knowledge enforce that view or contradict it?
•How is the Tree of Knowledge a statement of God’s core convictions?
I sure can't wait to interact with you this coming Saturday!

SIX WEEKLY SESSIONS
FRIDAYS, 6:30 PM CENTRAL TIME / 4:30 PM PACIFIC TIME
LAUNCHING APRIL 24, 2020
In Session 6: The Right Stuff is a reference to the book by the novelist Tom Wolfe. He speaks of the four human attributes vital to the launch of America’s space program: knowledge, initiative, perseverance and bravery.
Anyone who grieves understands how important it is to harness these attributes on the journey toward peace. They can be used to guide us toward an acceptable future.
How do we know we’re ready to consider, allow, and embrace a future without the ones we’ve lost? This session explores this important step in facing the loss and finding peace.
